Surrounded by gentle hills planted with vines at a slight altitude of 210 meters, in the heart of Alsace, the wine village of Eguisheim is a tourist mecca of the region, particularly appreciated by wine tourists with its 339 hectares of land 5km from Colmar.
Its many associations make it a dynamic village with many festivals that will allow you to discover the culture of our region, including the prestigious "Fête des Vignerons", which takes place every year on the last weekend of August. In addition, quality restaurants celebrate the Alsatian culinary tradition.
Classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France since 2003, Grand Prix National du Fleurissement since 1989, gold medal in the European competition of the Entente Florale in 2006 and Village Préféré des Français 2013... Eguisheim, whose alleys wind in concentric and multicolored circles around its castle, no longer counts its titles of nobility.
If it has been famous since antiquity for its wine, several archaeological remains or fossils have revealed a territory occupied since the Paleolithic era. This rich history which is found in its exceptional architectural heritage is magnified by the beauty of the natural landscapes which border this village located on the regional natural park of the Vosges balls, with many pedestrian and cycle paths which will enable you to cross the whole of the vineyard from the plain to the mountains.
